History of M2S
M2S was incorporated in 1998 by a Dartmouth College affiliated physician and engineer, providing advanced 3D computer models for the aortic vascular market through its Preview® Treatment Planning software. The Preview 3D models, combined with sophisticated measurement tools became invaluable for pre-operative vascular surgery planning and established M2S as a respected leader in endovascular image management. Over the next five years, M2S expanded to include a web-based patient evaluation and management registry, PEMS®, which has grown to be the largest radiographic registry in the country.
As the value of 3D imaging grew within the medical device industry, M2S’s service quickly became integral in many manufacturers’ clinical trials. M2S expanded into the aortic disease medical device clinical trial image and data management market. To date M2S has processed more than 250,000 CT scans for evaluation, equating to millions of individual images.
Continuing to advance the tools offered to its customers for improving patient outcomes, M2S launched its PATHWAYS technology in 2009. The PATHWAYS platform offers users greater control over their data analysis by providing cloud-based data collection, reporting, and analysis. Through a unique partnership with the Society for Vascular Surgery® (SVS) and its Patient safety Organization, M2S offers the Vascular Quality Initiative® (VQI®) to over 200 hospitals and physician practice groups in the U.S. and Canada. Collecting data on major vascular procedures, the VQI offers an opportunity for long-term data collection critical to meaningful outcomes assessment.
