Forming A Regional Group
By collecting and exchanging information, regional groups can strive to continuously improve the quality, safety, effectiveness and cost of caring for patients with a particular disease. For vascular diseases, gathering quality measures such as, stroke and death after carotid endarterectomy, death after AAA repair, endoleak rate after endo AAA repair, and bypass patency after lower extremity bypass are made simple with Clinical Data Pathways. Data input forms, designed by vascular surgeons capture relevant data for complete analysis of outcomes and allow for incorporation of follow-up data.
Creating a regional group to analyze and share data facilitates the ability to improve quality standards based on outcomes that reflect overall quality challenges faced by multiple institutions.
Benefits of A Regional Study Group
