Clinical Applications Specialist

Medstreaming is looking for a rock star Clinical Applications Specialist to join our Operations team.  Our Clinical Application Services team supports and services our office-based labs and hospital clients by providing product and workflow reviews, onsite and remote applications training and structured reporting configurations. The Clinical Application Specialist is the key interface between Medstreaming and our customers. This position will represent the company and products while continually providing solutions to customer needs.

As a Clinical Applications Specialist with Medstreaming, no two days are the same. One day you may be delivering an educational material and offering online training, the next you could be supporting the sales team by applying your clinical expertise to the pre-sales process for a major proposal, and the next you could be traveling on site for to support a go live for one of your assigned accounts or support one of your teammates with theirs.

Work Environment

Work is performed remotely using web conferencing for customer training sessions, and configurations as well as travel for customer on sites.

General Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical training and system customizations. (remotely and onsite).
  • Assist with clinical testing of the workflow prior to customer training pre/post project completion.
  • Serve as the key onsite clinical resource during implementation\ go live.
  • Work with customers to problem solving as required through the management of project plans intended to upgrade, enhance or implement new systems or application from conception through conversion and production.
  • Participate in the creation of training materials, educational materials, best practice policies and product manuals.
  • Gather and provide feedback from clients and partner staff to ensure product development meets market and customer requirements.
  • Perform informatics and engineering product validation as assigned.
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, and engineering, to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer requirements and market opportunities.
  • Assess customer’s configuration requirements and education needs; plan and deliver application education; apply product and clinical knowledge to troubleshoot and solve problems. Support customers in the use and growth of their systems.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key internal partners and customers; enable the success of the installation team.

Required Qualifications/Expectations

  • A resource that is a motivated professional with excellent verbal, written, communication and organizational skills, including demonstrations and group facilitation.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and build strong customer relationships.
  • Work closely with the support team, sales, and project managers during multiple phases of the sales and implementation processes.
  • Assess customer’s configuration requirements and education needs; plan and deliver application education; apply product and clinical knowledge to troubleshoot and solve problems. Support customers in the use and growth of their systems.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key internal partners and customers; enable the success of the installation team.
  • Schedule and implement system installation customer training complete checklist.
  • Cover tradeshows as assigned
  • Professionally handle objections and questions
  • Effectively support installed base
  • Position yourself as a consultant to both internal and external customers
  • Maintain excellent customer satisfaction
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 33% of the time.
  • Ability to be managed remotely
  • Prior EMR implementation experience
  • Up to date knowledge of MIPS/MACRA
  • Experience working with Engineering teams in product development and software validation
  • Ability to work West Coast hours
