NeuroVascular Quality Initiative® Launches New Website

September 8, 2016 – Fairfax, VA – The NeuroVascular Quality Initiative® (NVQI®), is pleased to announce the launch of its new website. Visitors to www.nvqi.org now have access to a wealth of important information, including details about the clinical registry’s three modules – Acute Ischemic Stroke, Cerebral Aneurysm, and Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformations.

The NVQI was established by the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery® (SNIS) and is a collaborative between the SNIS and M2S, a leading clinical registry provider, through the use of a Patient Safety Organization. The Registry plays a key role in helping to identify best practices and demonstrating the hospital’s dedication to improving patient care. Governed by the SNIS Patient Safety Organization (SNIS PSO), participating physicians and institutions benchmark key performance measures and major outcomes to identify opportunities for quality improvement. NVQI centers can compare processes, complication rates, and length of stay as well as medical device effectiveness. Specifically, NVQI is designed to support individual neurointerventionalists and hospitals by driving better understanding of outcomes and developing best practice in neurovascular surgery.

“The NVQI is quickly expanding, and an enhanced online presence offers providers, device manufacturers, and regulatory agencies a way to learn more about the registry,” said Marie Williams, SNIS Executive Director. “We are extremely excited to offer our members a path towards learning more about NVQI and improving patient outcomes.”

The new website is a source for the latest NVQI news, whitepapers, registry updates, as well as a link to the M2S PATHWAYS™ customer portal. The NVQI currently has 17 participating centers and has collected over 600 procedures to date.
